Software QA Engineer (Good English communication)
Qualifications
- Experience as a QA Automation / Test Engineer).
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in similar role(s).
- Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes.
- Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solutions being tested.
- Experience working within the financial services industry or equivalent complex domains.
- Experience testing Web Based Applications, Web services, XML, GUI, Reports and databases utilizing a wide range of test tools.
- Experience and/or accreditation in technologies including, Windows, Solaris, Apache TomEE, Crystal Reports, Oracle, SQL server, Web Services, XML, Git/Subversion Repositories
Responsibilities
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables and provide feedback.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and regression/automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual and regression/automated test cases and report test results.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Raise and retest defects during Peer Testing, System Testing and Regression Testing.
- Analyze and update regression test scope to improve regression code coverage.
- Verify compliance is maintained.
- Client issues logging, investigation and follow up with Client.
- Initiate speedy and permanent resolution to problems with clear documentation.
- Monitor progress of Client defects and ensure that users and other interested parties are kept informed.
- Take corrective action to avoid or minimize delays.
- Work closely with Support, Developers and Business Analysts for defects resolution.
- Contribute to continual improvement by initiating or participating in people, process or technology advances.
